Behind the Brand

Curioco is a Scandinavian-inspired lifestyle store created to offer something a little different. Stocking a considered range of sustainable and artisanal gifts for loved ones and the home, Curioco champions quality, natural materials, and the art of giving. Their goal was to create a brand that felt minimal yet welcoming – a destination for consumers who value thoughtful design, simple pleasures, and gifts that spark genuine joy.

Project Overview

Taking you behind the scenes to how we brought this brand to life.

  • Curioco’s brand needed to feel high-quality and minimal, with Scandinavian influences woven throughout to reflect the design-led nature of their products. We were careful to avoid the playful, childlike qualities often seen in family and children’s brands, opting instead for modern touches that would feel both elevated and approachable.

  • The name Curioco combines curio – meaning rare, unusual, or intriguing – with the idea of curated collections. This concept became central to the brand’s identity. Every element of the design needed to feel thoughtful, intentional, and beautifully put together, just like the products themselves.

  • To capture this, the secondary logo was designed so the final three letters form a subtle collection together, while supporting graphics were created from simple shapes grouped into curated arrangements. This visual language draws from Scandinavian design principles – clean, minimal, and timeless – while also referencing the simple but beautiful wooden toys that form part of Curioco’s product range.

  • The result is a brand identity that feels refined yet personable – a perfect reflection of Curioco’s ethos. Every detail reinforces their promise of quality, sustainability, and joy in the everyday. It positions Curioco as the go-to destination for thoughtful gifting: a brand that makes the act of giving as meaningful as the gift itself.
